පසුගිය වසරේ කොල්ලුපිටිය මංසන්දියේ දී රිය අනතුරක් සිදු කිරීමෙන් පසුව නීතිඥවරයෙකුට සහ ඔහුගේ කණිෂ්ඨ නිතිඥවරයාට බැණ මරණ තර්ජනය කළ බවට චෝදනා ගොනු කර තිබූ හිටපු රාජ්‍ය ඇමැති ලොහාන් රත්වත්තේ එම සිද්ධියෙන් නිදහස් කිරීමට කොටුව මහේස්ත්‍රාත් නිලුපුලී ලංකාපුර අද (20) නියෝග කර ඇත.
එම සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන අධිකරණයට ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව රක්ෂිත බන්ධනාගාර ගත කර දැනට ඇප මත මුදා හරින ලද හිටපු රාජ්‍ය ඇමැති ලොහාන් රත්වත්තේ වෙනුවෙන් නීතිඥවරුන් කළ ඉල්ලීම සලකා බැලූ මහේස්ත්‍රාත්වරිය මෙලෙස නියෝග කර ඇත.
සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් අගතියට පත් පාර්ශ්වයට රුපියල් ලක්ෂ 10 ගෙවීම හේතුවෙන් දෙපාර්ශවය අතර ඇති වූ එකඟතාවය සම්බන්ධයෙන් නීතිඥවරුන් අධිකරණයට කරුණු දැක්විය.
නඩුව කැඳවූ අවස්ථාවේදී පැමිණිල්ල වෙනුවෙන් කොල්ලුපිටිය පොලිසිය අධිකරණයට කරුණු ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇත.
Fort Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura today (20) ordered the release of former State Minister Lohan Ratwatte, who was charged with threatening to kill a lawyer and his junior lawyer after a car accident at the Kollupitiya junction last year.
The Magistrate made this order after considering the request made by the lawyers on behalf of former State Minister Lohan Ratwatte, who was arrested and produced before the court in connection with the incident and was remanded and is currently released on bail.
The lawyers presented evidence to the court regarding the agreement reached between the two parties regarding the payment of Rs. 1 million to the aggrieved party in connection with the incident.
When the case was taken up, the Kollupitiya Police presented evidence to the court on behalf of the prosecution.
